    Personnel:
  • Badal Roy - tablas
  • Richard Beirach - piano, percussion
  • Frank Tusa - acoustic bass, electric bass
  • Jeff Williams - percussion
  • David Liebman - alto flute, soprano saxophone

A pretty cool set that mixes together Indian percussion and jazz – pairing the tabla work of Badal Roy with accompaniment by a quartet that includes Richie Beirach on piano, Dave Liebman on saxes, Frank Tusa on bass, and Jeff Williams on percussion. The set starts out slow and spare, then builds as the tracks go on – then dips down again for some tabla-heavy jams that are mighty nice – a great example of the unique styles that Roy brought to the 70s jazz scene on a few hard to find recordings.
