A tribute album performed by the Getz/Gilberto Lovers, marking the 50th anniversary of the milestone recording Getz/Gilberto by saxophonist Stan Getz and singer/guitarist Joao Gilberto. The new album also includes a cover of the all-time hit, "The Girl from Ipanema."
Nineteen musicians feature over eight tracks, including Haruomi Hosono (vo), Miu Sakamoto (vo), Naruyoshi Kikuchi (t.sax), Yosuke Yamashita (p), Ryuichi Sakamoto (p), Jaques Morelenbaum (cello), and others. Some have collaborated with each other since the 70s, while others recorded together for the first time.
