Ballad. It is the kind of trip Th.MAILLARD's music invites to. It is less a matter of going at the end of the world than exploring the mysteries of the room next door. With him, it is a bit like coming across the moon at the corner of the street. One must just accept to throw a little light on objects which were not looked at any longer. It is exactly this way he tackles on his own a series of compositions engraved in marble by Miles DAVIS. Ivory and ebony, the black and white of the keyboard, delivers a genuine vision "line-drawing" as graphic designers would say, with a paradoxical effect, underlining their classicism in order to radically alter the suggestive power versions of the time.

Ballad also is the venture with Jérôme Regard and Laurent Robin. We could think we are faced with a sort of triangle but all happens with easy going, twists and turns and bounces.

The music winds there and frolics like a brook in a meadow in the sunshine. Here flows the pleasure of simple things and the joy of feeling the life of dancing melodies.

Behind the mirror ? No, rather the unusual delight of crossing through.
