Djabe followed a very intensive release method in the past years. In 2017 the concert album New Dimensions Update Live released on LP, CD, master tape and made available for download and streaming. This was the first release of the band, made new in 2016. Also in 2017, the England-based Cherry Red Records released two CD+DVD album packs: Steve Hackett & Djabe: Summer Storms and Rocking Rivers became 2nd on the publisher’s global top sale list of 2017, and Djabe & Steve Hackett: Life Is A Journey – The Sardinia Tapes reached 5th place. This latter, of records made in the island of Sardinia in 2016, and compiled by Tamás Barabás, later released in double vinyl format by Gramy-H, ltd. in October, last year. February 2018 marked the availability of the CD+DVD concert album Djabe with Steve Hackett & Gulli Briem, recorded at the summer tour of 2017. The DVD contains recordings of gig in Budapest, while the CD features those of Miskolc, Hungary. In 2018 preparations for the new studio album begin with a line up of Tamás Barabás (bass), János Nagy (keyboard), Péter Kaszás (drums), Áron Koós-Hutás (trumpet) and Attila Égerházi (guitar). This album, titled Flow, will be available on the 22nd of May, 2018, on CD. DVD containing a surround mix will release in June, followed by the vinyl edition in September. Both band and fans eagerly await the first new album following the band’s renewal in 2016.
