    Personnel:
  • Michal Urbaniak - amplified violin, soprano sax, tenor sax, baritone sax
  • Adam Makowicz - piano, hohner clavinet
  • Pawel Jarzebski - amplified bass
  • Czeslaw Bartkowski - drums

This Polish LP has violinist Michal Urbaniak's debut as a leader. Urbaniak here also plays soprano, tenor and baritone saxophones, instruments he would gradually drop in favor of the violin. He is joined by another famous Polish jazzman -- pianist Adam Makowicz -- and two local musicians, electric bassist Pawel Jarzebski and drummer Czeslaw Bartkowski. During this live concert, they perform Urbaniak's three-part, 21-minute "Jazz Jamboree 70 Suite," a shorter Urbaniak original, a piece from film composer Krzysztof Komeda, and "Body and Soul." This very interesting set is most notable for the early glimpses it gives of Urbaniak and Makowicz years before they defected to the West.
