I didn't actually decide to start writing Country Music. I started playing guitar and when the creative process started coming through I just went with it and it led me to Country Music. I enjoy all types of music and music is food for the spirit and soul. "Beach Country" would be the type of specific genre I am aiming for. I love classic and modern styles of country and combine elements of both in my songwriting. In the end, I guess it's all about what you like and what you don't like in music. I try to stay positive, uplifting, and fun with my lyrics and hope that my music can help someone get through the day if it's a rough one!
