The songs on "Here and Now" show the eclectic, versatile approach I take to writing. "One Night In Texas" is a comic, nonsense song, played as a rowdy honky-tonk. "Let's Make A Memory" is sunshine folk-rock, a catchy, simple expression of the power of enduring love. "The Way You Let Me Love You" celebrates love as one of nature's wonders, like "the colors of the sunset" or "the mystery in a daydream." "Say The Word" takes up the challenging but timely question of how to console someone who is hurting, but wants only to be left alone. The last song in the set "A Long Night Coming" (unofficially subtitled "Song For The Coming Apocalypse") is a fairly stark take on something that none of us likes to think about, but that all of us must eventually deal with. Nothing lasts forever.
