Featuring vocalists Patti Austin with David Alan Grier, Lizz Wright, Cassandra Wilson, Ledisi, Monica Mancini. The live album also features The Count Basie Orchestra and The Ella 100 All-Star Quartet, which consists of Shelly Berg, Nathan East, Gregg Field and Brian Nova. 'Ella 100' transports listeners back to this magical evening in 2016.
In 1934, a 17-year old singer named Ella Fitzgerald took the stage at the legendary Apollo Theater in Harlem during Amateur Night and took home first prize, launching an extraordinary career which spanned over decades and crowned her "The First Lady of Song.
