"It Takes Two" - Roger and Till - Two of the leading blues musicians in this country as a duo! Born in England, Roger C. Wade (voc / harp) and Till Seidel (voc / guit) present a fresh mix of traditional blues, boogie and rock 'n roll. Sometimes classics from the 40s and 50s or rock 'n roll from the 60s. Two singers, a harmonica, a guitar, a relaxed joy in playing - Roger and Till guarantee a wonderful evening with old and new friends of the blues and boogie.

In the last 25 years Roger C. Wade (harp / vocals) has established himself as an outstanding harmonica player of the guild of German blue traditionalists. His powerful and sensitive style, haunting blues feeling paired with a healthy amount of virtuosity inspires the blues specialist and the party audience alike. Spontaneity, humor and an energetic "stage presence" - this is how the audience has valued Roger C. Wade for over 20 years in Germany and Europe.

Born in 1968 in Norwich, England, Roger discovered not only British blues but mainly his love for classic blues in the mid-1980s. After his first gigs as a duo on the streets of England, he was drawn to Germany, where he played in his first German blues band in the early 1990s, initially as a sideman and then as a frontman and singer. Shortly thereafter, Roger formed his first band, Excuse My Blues , together with his wife Marion on the piano. The course was set and the direction clear - it was about blues, boogie and RnB. In 1994 Roger spent several months in the US , where he played with many well-known blues artists between New York and San Francisco.

After this exciting and character-shaping time, Roger returned to Germany and founded the band Little Roger & The Houserockers with his wife Marion on piano and Tilmann Michalke on guitar. In the past 25 years, numerous well-known musicians have appeared at the band, including Alex Schulz, Chris Rannenberg, Marc T and many more. After the early death of his duo partner Jens Turowski and two successful Night Walkers records , Roger and Till got together and founded the duo "Roger and Till" .

In order to get into the blues in the Lower Saxony province at the beginning of the 2000s, you need above all interest. Admittedly, the way to the blues in Hildesheim was not that difficult, after all, some of the most famous blues bands in Germany come from this small city near Hanover. When Till Seidel picked up the guitar at the age of 14, there was initially only music of the harder pace. But where did Angus Young get his "duck walk" and his bending? “Searching through my father's record cabinet was like reading a book, which gets more exciting with each chapter. Suddenly there was Chess Records, Howlin 'Wolf, Muddy Waters, Little Walterand so much more. ”This music was like a revelation. While plastic pop and German rock were going up and down on the radio, Till Seidel occupied himself more and more with music that had something to tell. “In the beginning it wasn't even about the lyrics, but the way of playing music. It was rough and honest and had rough edges. Not like this softened crap from radio and television. ”Over time, Till Seidel sharpened his profile more and more. “I found my niche with this type of music. If people say the blues is boring, I might blow my skin. From the 20s to the 60s, no genre can offer more diversity. ”While he was a sideman in various bands at the beginning he devoted himself more to the 50s blues,to pay tribute to his heroes like T-Bone Walker and Johnny Guitar Watson, he embarked on a new path with his own band.

“New” is relative, because of course retro music is still in love. However, he and his band are more dedicated to the 60s rhythm & blues. " In addition to BB King, Freddie King and Otis Rush, I'm also into Little Milton, Bobby Bland and Al Green. In the 60s, so many elements of blues and soul were mixed in R&B and that turns me on." he proves himself with his kind of R&B in front of an American audience. He accompanied BB & The Blues Shacks on their California tourand was allowed to play in the preliminary program. In addition to the audience, he was also able to convince radio DJ Art Martel (Straight Up Blues Productions, Delta Groove) and publicist David Mac (Blues Junction). In the October 2016 issue of the bluesnews magazine dedicated a two-page feature to him, drawing attention to the newcomer in Germany. In the spring of 2017, the "fat little boy from Lower Saxony" released his CD "Lazy Man's Land", which was given very positive reviews by numerous critics. Since 2018 Till Seidel has also devoted himself to a solo project in which the accent is more on his guitar, his singing and the more traditional way of playing the blues. In 2019 his latest album "Get On Board!"
