Seven years without an album, Dash unsuccessfully attempted to revitalize her solo career with this humdrum set of light R&B fodder. It seems something goes awry in every turn made from vocals to songwriting to production. Dash sounds unconvincing and relatively uninspired on tired tunes like the heavily produced "I Believed You," the generic "Mystery," and "Feel Good," a quasi-funk concoction. A cover of Marvin Gaye & Tammi Terrell's "You're All I Need to Get By" is notable, but, unfortunately, Dash's performance quickly becomes overpowered by the presence of former cohort Patti LaBelle on co-lead vocal. Fans interested in Dash's post-LaBelle output are far better off to seek out her late-'70s and early-'80s recordings on Kirshner.
