Celeste was a star-studded jazz band that managed to release an album. This was the continuation of the Erik Wøllo quintet, which was active in the early 80s, and the first band for Bendik Hofseth and Øystein Sevåg. Bendik wrote 7 out of 8 songs and proved his enormous songwriting ability already at the age of 21.
There were a bunch of artists who came and went from the band, but on the album Inge Norum played on drums, Jan Erik Salater on bass, Erik Wøllo on guitar, Øystein Sevåg on piano and Bendik Hofseth on saxophone. It was released on the small record label Kolibri and recorded at NY York Studio in Oslo.
